5 Super Easy Camera Tricks

//5 Super Easy Camera Tricks

5 super easy camera tricks like transitions and camera effects. Only use your camera and creativity to improve your film making.

When watching movies you often see complex effects that need expensive gear. But you can also accomplish professional effects, with just your own camera and you creativity. In this tutorial we use our own creativity and camera to create these 5 super easy tricks. You just need your camera and a subject. The tricks varies from transitions to zoom effects to focusing.

In the tutorial we also have a trick where we decrease the shutter speed while we are filming. This will give you extra motion blur and will emphasize the movement. But what is the shutter speed exactly? To explain it simply, the shutter speed is the amount of time the shutter inside the camera is open. This allows light onto the sensor. The longer the shutter is open, the more light is let in the camera to expose the picture. But also the motion blur will be effected, every amount below 1/50 (at 25fps) will give extra motion blur.

Choosing the right motion blur can be very crucial for your video because it will create an effect, a feeling. That’s why war movies are mostly shot with a high shutter speed, it reduces the motion blur and gives the movie a hard edge/feeling. With drug movies you want to do the opposite. The extra motion blur will give you a feeling of intoxication and will enhance the drugs in the movie.

So you can see that you don’t need expensive gear to create stunning effects. We also proved this in a previous video, where we created 5 transitions with only a camera.
