360 Creators

These days you see more and more creators evolve their content around 360 cameras. People Like Cache bunny, Ari Fararooy and Oltjp are for example amazing creators who mainly post work with there 360 cameras. The possibility’s are endless with these cameras and make certain effect so much easier to achieve.

360 Cameras for 3D software

Besides using these cameras to record you can also use these in your 3D workflow. You probably have heard of HDR Images. These are pictures that capture a huge range of luminosity. These you can create with a mirror ball, DSLR or a you guessed it 360 Camera. If you use a mirror ball or DSLR you’ll need some kind of software to stitch all these together in 1 picture. Once you have your 360 images you can bring all of them into photoshop and use the Merge to HDR Pro to convert them to 1 single HRDI.

That’s a lot of work for 1 image ofcourse so the Insta360 ONE X2 has a solution for this called PureShot. This will make sure you get a HDRI but with just 1 single shot.

And these you now can use in you 3D workflow to give your objects realistic reflections and to light them up so it corresponds to the real scene.

Being so compact and giving you all of its post-production features on your phone, it’s pretty awesome! For cinematographer/3D artists It’s a handy tool so definitely check it out!
