Welcome back to the super cool Cinecom Website. If it’s your first time also welcome to the Cinecom family, you’re one of us now! Today’s article is going to be about another ingenious Creative Tuesday idea. As you probably know we do crazy things while filming and this can be time consuming. So that’s why we need all the help we can get. And something that really helps is the quick release plate for your camera, it saves us so much time!

Every filmmaker knows the struggles of changing base plates, because every rig, gimbal or tripod head can have a different mount. And you’re probably saying that changing those mounts isn’t that much work. But if you are on a tight time schedule, you can’t afford to be messing around with the base plates. Everything has to go quick and smoothly, so all the precious time can go to the perfect shot you want to take.

But a quick release plate isn’t the only handy tool you need to have in your film-making arsenal. Did you ever hear of the ND filter for you camera? This is a must have for when you are filming outside and can really save your footage. The purpose ND filter is to reduce the amount of light entering the lens. This allows you to select combinations of aperture, shutter speed and ISO that would otherwise overexpose your footage.

There are many more time consuming tools or hacks that we use. But we want to hear if you have some cools tips on saving time while shooting. Let us know in the comments below.
