Learn how to move your shadow with Adobe Premiere Pro. Use simple editing techniques and lighting setups to create a professional effect for a music video, like Joyner Lucas ft Chris Brown – Stranger Things.

I hope you guys saw the Creative Tuesday video from this week. Jordy pored his heart out with the most awesome motivational speech we ever done! So I hope this inspired you and will guide you to future successes! With all that new motivation, you’ll probably need some new inspiration. But don’t worry, that’s why we have Copy Cat Friday! And we have something cool planned for you guys. We are recreating the shadow effect from the new Music video from Joyner Lucas ft. Chris Brown – Stranger Things. A super simple effect but with awesome results.

But did you know that the two rappers weren’t the only ones who did this effect? In 1992 they made a film about Bram Stoker’s Dracula, a movie with a famous cast, stunning Cinematography and effects. Especially for that time! In this movie you have a scene were Count Dracula is taking to Keanu Reeves. While the count is taking you can see it’s shadow move separately and trying to kill Keanu. It’s more or less the same effect, but done in a completely different way. The effect from Dracula was done with a screen that had a light behind it and a person casting silhouettes on that screen. While the effect from the music video is done by simple masking in post production. Much easier as you can see.
