Fake Robot Camera Movement (Kendrick Lamar – Humble)

Camera Movements, premiere pro, Robot arm movement

Create a fake super fast robot arm movement with a jib or slider and Premiere Pro. A camera movement inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s music video “Humble”.

It’s almost Christmas guys, so first of all Merry Christmas and happy holidays and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I wish you a nice day and weekend! For this video we got many requests and finally figured out how we could create the effect in a simple but a realistic way. The effect that I’m taking about is the robot arm movement movement in Kendrick’s hit song “Humble”. They created it with a Bolt robot arm, which is a robotic arm you can program to do certain movements. But we don’t have that kind of budget or engineering friends, so we decide to create it in a simpler way.

We also already did a effect from the videoclip “Humble”. Here we recreate the trippy camera shake effect, which was surprisingly easy to make. But if you follow us, you know we (actually just me) are fans of Kendrick Lamar and his videoclips. He always has cool effects that we love to recreate, just like the one where he falls through the ground in his song with Rihanna “Loyalty”

I also want to say something about the Christmas themed video of this year. We normally dedicate a whole video to Christmas, like we did previous years with the “What if video” and “the christmas poker game“. But this year we have to sadly say that we aren’t doing anything. The time schedule was to busy and this in combination with other projects was to much. So we decide to do nothing this year, because half work isn’t our style and we would really like a cool video. But no worries we already have an idea for next year, so the Christmas themed videos will be back.
