Trending Video Hacks
Video hacks have been around for a long time. We’ve all seen those video were someone smears Vaseline on their lens or holds a knife to their camera for a reflection.
That story has been told long time ago and it also feels like the filmmaking community have been silent about these video hacks. They’re no longer ‘cool’, the trend is over!
However, I do still think that they are creative and a great way to learn more about filmmaking. That’s why we thought out of the box for this video and try to come up with 5 tricks that haven’t been told yet.
The Importance of Creative Video Tricks
When you follow the rules of filmmaking, you lock yourself in. I’m not saying you should always brake the rules, but experimenting with creative video tricks now and then is great!
It opens your creative mind and it challenges you. Although not every video trick is worth it for film projects, some could actually work. Take for instance the drill video hack from the video above.
Having a motion controlled drill, we can make very smooth movement. Movements which are not possible if you were to do them handheld. It might not look professional, but if it looks stupid and it works, it ain’t stupid!
