Video Editing on the World’s Smallest Monitor

Screen resolution matters A LOT
In today’s episode Jordy and Yannick have to edit a video with ONLY stock footage. And if that’s not enough they also had to do this on a tiny monitor of 5 INCH with just a mere 800×480 pixels. Once you go that small you start to notice a lot of problems.
The biggest problem is readability. Its hard to see what you’re doing in any software that has a lot of windows and buttons like Premiere Pro has. Next to this its also hard to see if a clip is in focus or not.

When is there too much stock footage?
Stock footage can be a huge time and money savers. Sometimes you don’t have the time or money to make a certain shot so that’s when you head over to stock footage websites. With one simple click you fixed your problem.
But with this great tools comes a certain question. At what point does your video stop being your video because of using stock footage. Let me give you an example.
You go on a trip and took amazing looking shots. At home you start editing them into an awesome travel video. But on your trip you didn’t had the time to make time lapses and you didn’t have a drone with you. So you had over to a website to download some stock footage to take your travel video to the next level.
At this point some people start to argue that it’s not your video anymore because you are just downloading footage. So I want to know from you guys what you think. Is it still your video even if you use stock footage? And when is it too much?
