Create the black veins effects from Netflix Series Stranger Things (Season 3) in this Adobe After Effects tutorial. Learn how to create a super easy effect with tracking and blending.

It’s again time for another Copy Cat Friday and this time we are recreating something that was requested a lot. You guys are apparently big fans of Stranger Things and decided to spam us with requests about the series. Well we are also big fans and are happy to do an effect from the show. The only problem is that we have to choose one, because they are all great. But doing all the effects would lead to a tutorial video from over an hour. So after some testing and brainstorming, we decided to recreate the black veins from the shower scene with Billy. I’m not going to spoil to much because maybe you didn’t saw the season yet. However I can say that it’s going to be cool.

If you are ready this after you saw our video, you probably saw Jordy shine in his new role for Stranger Things. We thought to ourselves, how can we make our Storyblocks ad a little more fun. And then Jordy came up with the great idea of recreating a scene from Stranger Things. More specific the pool scene from Billy and we also didn’t really recreate it. We removed Billy from every scene and replaced him with Jordy. A very tedious job, but with a super funny result.
