How to create a glowing scribble animation in Adobe After Effects from music video Crown by K-pop band TXT. Learn how to quickly draw and animate shapes with this tutorial.

First of all, sorry guys for not posting this video earlier. We know the trend is somewhat over by now. But due to some tight planning for the short movie, we decided to prerecord this video. If we didn’t do this, there would probably be no Copy Cat Today. But we can’t disappoint you guys, so we stepped up. Hopefully you can forgive us for being a little late with the trend and are ready to create an awesome scribble effect from a K-pop sensation named TXT.

In previous videos we already made a scribble effect in Premiere Pro for a Bruno Mars music video and one in After Effects for Kendrick Lamar. The one in Premiere Pro has become obsolete due to updates from Adobe. However the one from Kendrick Lamar in After Effects is still up to date and can be used to create a glowy scribble effect. But not to repeat ourselves we searched for a different method to create the scribbles from today. This way you have two options to create a new master piece. It’s sad that the Premiere Pro option is gone, we really loved to create simple and fun animations with it. But since they removed the title safe panel, such animations aren’t possible anymore.

  1. Would I be allowed to use the thumbnail photo as an image reference for a school paper? I’m writing about Motion Graphics in Music Videos (focus on current music especially with Kpop) and had brought up this tutorial. I figured it wouldn’t be a big deal since the majority of the picture is TXT anyways, but I don’t like using things without permission.
Btw, this tutorial was super helpful. lol.
