Adobe Premiere Pro Tutorials

custom, mogrt, premiere pro, Templates

Learn how to create your own custom templates to use in Adobe Premiere Pro. With the essential graphics we can create .mogrt template files.

We can find templates everywhere. They come together with a fresh installation of Adobe Premiere Pro, but we can also find them all over the internet. Some templates are free, some are paid or are part of a premium library such as Storyblocks Video.

Templates can be used for 2 different reasons. You either make use of someone else their work to get a quick result. Or you create your own style and layout. This includes lower third animations, intros, transitions, text popups, etcetera. By making templates of your creations, it’s easier to call them up with every new Premiere Pro project.

Are Templates Bad?

It used to be that people tried to avoid using templates. It wasn’t something they created themselves, so it’s not considered creative. However, I second that. As a creative, you work on an entire project. If are your choices which shots you use, how you edit them and which kind of template you use.

Spending hours or days of works in an intro that could easily be downloaded in seconds isn’t worth it. Use that time to fine-tune your edit which is what the film is about and what the viewer will remember.
