What’s up guys? I’m glad you are here for this weeks Copy Cat Friday and I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be swinging. Yes it was a bad joke, but I couldn’t help myself. Like you already know, we are going to recreate some webshooting just like the real friendly neighborhood Spiderman. And we know, there are already a lot of tutorials about this effect. But that’s why we decided to go in a different direction for this effect.

The first thing is that we went for Premiere Pro. Not the best software if you want to create shooting web coming from somebodies hand. But no worries, we almost used no heavy effects to recreate this. When we started we thought to ourselves, how can we do this in Premiere Pro? We don’t have tracking or 3D models we can use. And then it hit us, practical effects.  What if we use as much practical effects if possible. That’s how this tutorial came to be.

By now you all probably already know that Jordy and me are huge fans of practical effects. If it’s possible we will use practicals before we use special effects. It adds so much to the realism of the shot, which we can’t match with special effects. Or at least we can’t because we don’t have Hollywood budgets. And I know I’m repeating myself, but I really want to emphasis that if you can you should definitely use practicals before any else.
