About this bundle

The Premiere Pro Booster Bundle combines Cinecom's beginner and advanced Adobe Premiere Pro courses, taught by Jordy Vandeput, who has edited in Premiere Pro for more than 15 years and teaches it on the Cinecom YouTube channel. In the first course you go from an empty project to an exported travel video. In the second you learn the tools professional editors use to work faster and finish a video: multi-camera editing, animated graphics and templates, time remapping, masks, color correction, audio repair and export settings.

The two courses are made to follow each other. Jordy opens the advanced course by saying that if you come from his beginner class, you are the perfect fit, because you already know how to make basic edits.

What's in the Premiere Pro Booster Bundle

Video Editing With Adobe Premiere Pro For Beginners

24 lessons, about 3 hours 45 minutes, for beginners. Jordy edits footage he shot in Iceland, and you download the same clips, music, sound effects and project files to follow along. You set up a project and a sequence, cut on the timeline with In and Out points, and work with effects, blending modes, cropping, Auto Reframe for vertical video, slow motion with Optical Flow, transitions, titles in the Essential Graphics panel, tracked masks and keyframe animation. You edit an interview by deleting words from its transcript, add captions, clean up a voice with Enhance Speech, mix music and sound effects, correct and grade color with Lumetri, and export.

Video Editing with Adobe Premiere Pro for Advanced Users

34 lessons, about 3 hours 35 minutes, listed as advanced. The material is an interview with Yannick filmed on three cameras, plus b-roll of him painting miniatures, all included in the download. You build a multi-camera sequence and cut it live, set up sequences, shortcuts and timeline presets for speed, and use pancake editing on bigger projects. You animate with bezier keyframes, build titles, rolling credits and your own motion graphics templates, make track matte transitions, stabilize footage, create speed ramps with time remapping, clone objects with masks and track a mask on a face. Then you match three cameras with Lumetri, build a teal and orange look, repair dialogue in the Essential Sound panel, mix and design sound, send clips to After Effects and Audition with Dynamic Link, work with proxies, and export with the right codecs and bitrates.

What you can do after both courses

  • Organize a project, cut an edit on the timeline and export it with settings that suit where it will be shown.

  • Edit an interview from its transcript and add styled captions, burned in or as an SRT file.

  • Cut a three-camera interview live with multi-camera editing.

  • Animate titles and graphics with eased keyframes, and save them as your own templates and presets.

  • Match cameras, grade a look, and clean up and mix dialogue, music and sound effects.

Who the Premiere Pro Booster Bundle is for

Anyone who wants to learn Premiere Pro properly, starting from the first time they open it. The beginner course explains terms as they come up, from sequence and frame rate to In and Out points. The advanced course expects you to make basic edits already, which is where the beginner course leaves you. If you taught yourself the basics, start with the advanced course and use the beginner course for the newer features the advanced course does not cover, such as transcript editing and Enhance Speech.

What you need

Adobe Premiere Pro. Jordy records on Windows and uses only the effects built into Premiere Pro, so you need no plugins. One lesson in the advanced course, on Dynamic Link, also opens After Effects and Audition.

Video Editing With Adobe Premiere Pro For Beginners

The course was absolutely awesome, I'm not a beginner in video editing, but I definitely needed a well-structured complete course of the basics of Premiere and this was exactly the video I needed!

Video Editing With Adobe Premiere Pro For Beginners

You can't be just a talking head, spewing out a bunch of information and instructions, especially online. You have to be engaging so people want to watch, especially with technical things. Jordy is all that and more - entertaining, engaging and still "spews" out great information and instructions. I want to take classes from him I don't even want to learn!

If it is a online class I being a lazy person will never finish it because I mostly will sleep the moment the lecturer starts to bore. But Jordy is the best online teacher I could get never slept in his class because the way he delivers the classes is awesome he makes sure we are taught in a entertaining way. He could also teach a class on how to conduct online video lectures it was that good. The Story telling he used made me remember almost every concept he taught

I really liked it overall, because Jordy is a very cool and informative teacher, and he makes the learning process so much better with the humour.

Questions

What you're probably asking.

Yes. Start with the beginner course. Jordy begins by organizing your footage and creating a project, and explains terms like sequence, frame rate and In and Out points as they come up. By the time you reach the advanced course, you have the basic editing skills it expects.
You can start with the advanced course, which only asks that you can make basic edits. The beginner course is still worth watching for the newer features the advanced course does not cover, such as editing an interview from its transcript, Enhance Speech and Auto Reframe for vertical video.
The beginner course was recorded on the Premiere Pro beta, so it shows the newest features of that time, including transcript editing and Enhance Speech. The advanced course was recorded in Premiere Pro 2020. Some screens have changed since then, such as captions and exporting, and the beginner course shows the newer way for both.
Yes. Both courses come with the footage and project files Jordy uses: the Iceland footage, music and sound effects for the beginner course, and Yannick's three-camera interview, b-roll, sound effects and royalty-free music for the advanced course. Jordy says you may share your practice edits on YouTube. For the advanced course he adds that this must not be commercial, and the beginner course's music is for personal use only.
No plugins: both courses use only what is built into Premiere Pro. After Effects and Audition appear in one lesson of the advanced course, about Dynamic Link, where Jordy sends a clip to each program and back. You can follow everything else with Premiere Pro alone.
The beginner course covers basic correction in Lumetri, a LUT for log footage and a teal and orange grade on an adjustment layer. The advanced course adds matching three cameras, HSL Secondary and stacking two Lumetri effects. For every Lumetri tool in depth, Jordy points to his separate color grading course.
