Another Copy Cat Friday, it feels good to be back! That’s right you guys, I’m back from Sri Lanka (Yannick). And I can say it was a super good vacation, I traveled through the entire island and saw pretty much everything that there was to see. From beautiful nature, wild animals and a very friendly culture with famous heritage sites. At first it was a little culture shock, because I never traveled outside Europe. But the thing that surprised me the most was the traffic. I never saw something that chaotic and I was glad I didn’t had to drive myself. It was really survival of the fittest on the road. Maybe it was just because I was used to the quite traffic here in Belgium. Anyway I would definitely recommend traveling through Sri Lanka to everyone.
Lil Pump – Infinite Wall Effect
Being on holiday, I didn’t follow the trends and everything that was happening on YouTube. And apparently there was much that happened, from Eminem starting a dissing war with MGK to Lil Pup breaking YouTube viewing records. The Eminem trend I missed, because the team already made a video about it last week. But I’m just in time back to work on the Lil Pump trend with our awesome Cinecom team.
We started right away in testing the effect, which is creating an infinite hallway where you can walk through. We will explain how you can recreate the effect with After Effects and a green screen. Within After Effects we will use a camera that moves through a set build out of 3D objects. These 3D objects we created from a picture of a wall that needs to represent the wall of the music clip. Which you can also download on the top of this article. And of course we also had to recreate the costumes from the music video (big thanks to Jordy’s mom). Which are super funny and were fun to make and wear.
