Learn how to use the Lumetri Video Scopes inside Adobe Premiere Pro to create professional Color Grading and color corrections. Thanks to Asus ProArt for sponsoring this episode

For today Creative Tuesday we have a special sponsor, ASUS. They send us a new professional monitor, perfect for video editing and color grading. It’s their brand new 32 inch 4K monitor from the ProArt series. We were amazed that right from out of the box this screen delivered outstanding performances. We didn’t even had to calibrate it, because that was done for us during manufacturing. But if you do want to calibrate it to your environment, then you can use the included Xrite calibrations tools. So You can really say that this screen is perfect for the cinematographers serious about color grading and true colors.

I have to be honest, I like color grading. It can give your video a certain look and feel. Which can determine the mood and helps to tell a story. But I don’t use the Lumetri scopes, because I never knew how handy they could be. When I first started with color grading, I didn’t understood them. And when I did, there was to little time to use them for every project. But when I made my music video for the Cinebattle series, I had time to use them and they really came in handy. Jordy’s trick with the isolated skins, really helps when you want to grade your shot, but also want those perfect skin-tones. You can say that skin-tones are one of the most important things while color grading. If these are off, like to red or green, your audience will experience as not realistic and will probably hurt you video. Except if you are of course going for this look.
