What if Santa had to work during the World War

Christmas, Short Film, World War

Hello folks, It’s Yannick this time. As an early Christmas present, Jordy gave me the opportunity to make the Christmas Short movie for Cinecom this year. Under a watchful eye of course. But he gave me the freedom to do what I want and after a great brainstorm with Jordy and Gert, we decided to do something with the “What if” concept and a war-theme. This is due to the Battlefield addiction in the office 😉
This project had taught me a lot! Especially less is more if you’re thinking in shots. My original shotlist contained over 40 shots, which were reduced to 11 when Jordy explained me something named “production time”. I also had to chance to write the whole story, do the camera work and the post production. With this project I learned more then in my school period!
But making movies isn’t only about a good story and awesome shots, the set and props can make or break your movie. With this short movie we had the honor to work with the professional costume rental shop Koekman Uniformverhuur, which provided us with 6 authentic world war costumes. So thank you very much Leon Koekman to make our movie more awesome!
And last but not least, we want to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New year. We hope that 2016 was great for everyone and 2017 will be even better! For Cinecom 2016 was a big year and we promise that 2017 will bring even more awesomeness!

Is there a video tutorial to help a beginner use the Simple Text pack? Thanks.
