How to Beat arcade games
2 weeks ago Mark Rober uploaded a video showcasing how to beat 5 arcade games. And if you know him you can probably already guess that he did this with the help of some self-made machines. After seeing this we ofcourse also wanted to give it a try but unfortunately we aren’t as skilled at building those kind of things.
Luckily we are better VFX artists than we are engineers. So we found a way to hack the icon hoop shooter game.
practical effects
When dealing with this game the hardest part to fake is the net. Every time the ball goes through, the net needs to move around. And as you know animating this type of movement is way too difficult and time consuming. So it’s better to do it practical, sticking a ball on a stick an moving it through. Than its a simple matter of masking some stuff away which we show in detail in our video.
