Stranger Things
The hype train is back, season 4 of Stranger Things just released on Netflix and everybody is going crazy. And after only seeing two episodes, I’m already hooked and can’t wait to see more. But first we of course need to create a cool episode about the new season.
And like the previous ones, It’s packed with awesome Visual effects. It’s even hard to choose what to recreate. Like how cool would it be to recreate a Stranger Thing world inside Unreal Engine. Imagine all the possibilities you would have. But today we decided to go a little bit more scary.

We are going to recreate the cursed effect, where Vecna controls people, breaks all their bones and eventually kills them. They made the effect quite gruesome and of course this is something we want to recreate.
Practical Effect inside Stranger Things
Now to recreate the super cool Vecna curse effect we of course need to use some visual effects in After effects. But to make everything work we are also going to be using some Practical effects. And believe it or not, but in the real series they also use a lot of practical effect.
Do you remember the demogorgon in season one? Well that was actually a man in a suit. Of course they added a lot of extras later in post production. But the main monster was there in all the scenes reacting with everything and everyone in the environment.
