Spider-Man: No Way Home is being released December 17th and will probably break all box office expectations. The Marvel/Spider-Man fans are already going crazy online, looking for all the hidden messages in the newly released trailer. But that’s expected when Doctor Octopus, Green goblin, Sandman, Lizard and Electro make their return all in the same movie!
Wire Stunts
In every superhero movie you can be sure that in at least one shot they used wires. They use wires for everything, jumping higher, running faster, sliding from once side of the room to the other, etc. It’s an amazing asset to have on set and something we can do very easily DIY at home. In professional environments they use fairly thin yet super strong cables attach to a body tight harness.
This makes it fairly easy to hide the harness under some clothing and/or to paint everything away. Finding these for an affordable price will be quite the challenge. So your best bet is to probably use some sort of climbing gear which is cheaper but a bit bulkier or not even use a harness and just tie the rope around the talent.
Always try to hide the harness under some clothing. Even better would be to use some old clothes so you can poke a hole into them to pass the rope through. This way you only have to do a wire removal which can be done with a simple mask.
